One of the best benefits of jump rope is the great cardiovascular workout. The American Heart Association's biggest fundraising events are their Jump Rope For Heart Programs and for good reason!  Did you know that jumping rope for 10 minutes is equivalent to running for 30 minutes? It is one of the best workouts you can possibly get because it is continuous movement  of several major muscle groups and the more dynamic you are with jump rope, the more muscles are included in your workout.

How can jumping rope affect your brain?! When you jump rope, or do any physical activity blood flow increases throughout your body; this includes your brain! The increased bloodflow brings essential nutrients to your brain causing it to work more efficiently.
